In view of the continuously growing interest in the marine environment as a sustainable source for numerous useful and socially important products, Marine Biotechnology is a promising field of study that offers us many possibilities on many fronts. The symposium will discuss the following topics: “Food & Feed”, “Energy and Sustainability” and “Pharmaceuticals”. The innovations and applications of Marine Biotechnology concerning these subjects will be highlighted. Furthermore, the question whether Marine Biotechnology really is a promising discipline will be the subject of a discussion.
Tickets for the symposium will be sold from March 8th up to and including March 12th, 12.30-13.15 h in the Biotechnion. Subscription on the Codon symposium website is also possible.
