Location: WUR Building 316, room C7
Aim of the seminar series is informing people about nanotechnology research in Wageningen and other institutions in the Netherlands by Pieter Stoeve.
Programme
13.30 Pieter Stroeve: Life Sciences and Medicine
14.30 Ton Visser: Single molecule fluorescence in microfluidic devices
Phage display methods for selection of specific peptides or proteins from biolibraries are quite time-consuming. It is therefore desirable to develop a faster strategy. Initial experiments with a microfluidic platform will be described. This device combines the propulsion of liquid containing fluorescent components of the biolibrary through microchannels, the detection of single fluorescence photon bursts and real-time sorting of positive hits.
