Wageningen UR concentrates a large part of its research and education in one location at the Wageningen Campus. The campus is a combination of existing buildings and four new buildings, each with their own character. It is a fascinating place where students, instructors, researchers and staff can come together and exchange ideas.
The Atlas Building was opened by the Environmental Sciences Group (ESG) at the end of 2006 and the education building - The Forum - was opened in September 2007. The Plant Sciences Group (PSG) has build a new wing on its existing building (Radix).
The Forum Building is the unique eye-catcher of Wageningen Campus. Educational facilities, restaurant facilities and the university library are brought together in this building on an unparalleled scale. Up to 70 percent of the educational facilities are located in the Forum Building, including four Sciences Groups and part of Van Hall Larenstein. These facilities include lecture halls, teaching labs, and the main university library. Around the Forum's inner courtyard, the Agora, there is a restaurant, a grand café and various shops. The Student Affairs information counter and the International Office are set up there as well.
