| The BSc minors of Wageningen university are available to students from other universities and HBO students. If you want to take a BSc minor at Wageningen University, you need permission from your own institution (Examination Board) before you can register.
Many of the BSc minors are entirely in English, but others contain courses in Dutch. As an international student you can only follow the minors which are taught in English, so take a look at: language minors (pdf).
Wageningen University expects certain knowledge for several minors, please check the assumed knowledge for minors (pdf). When you are not sure, you can contact the minor coordinator.
HBO students and BSc students from other universities who are interested in enrolling into an MSc programme at Wageningen University, can prepare for this master by following a minor in that area. However, taking a minor does not automatically give admission to an MSc programme. Please contact the study advisor of the MSc programme for information on pre-master programmes and minors. You can find the contact details of the study advisors on the websites of the MSc programmes.

Students from outside Wageningen University can register at the Student Service Centre. You have to register as a "Bijvak student Categorie 1 or 2" (depending on your situation), if you fulfill the requirements. The form "Bijvak student" and "Explanation Bijvak-Student" can be found here. International students who study at Dutch institutions can find the UK version of the form "Bijvak student" here.
If you want to take a minor in the 1st semester of the next academic year, make sure you register at your own university or HBO for the next year as soon as possible, at the end of June. If you are not registered at your own university or HBO yet, you can't be admitted as a "bijvak" student.
Once you are registered as a “bijvak” student you can register for the courses of the minor. Registration for an entire minor is not yet possible. You have to register for the separate courses before each period, ultimately two weeks before the start of the courses.
There are other ways to register. You can register as a contract student as well. For registration as a Contract Student a fee is charged which is based on the number of ECTS credit points per subject. For a whole minor this fee will be about € 4000. The form and explanation about this can be found here.
