Temporary Housing.
There are periods in the year where the demand for rooms is higher than the supply, student housing will than arrange temporary housing in Brink residence.
Note: this arrangement is only for students with a Bed guarantee/high priority.
The duration of this temporary housing cannot be estimated in advance as it all depends on how many rooms become available and how many students require a room. It can take up to several months. The Brink Residence is only for students with a bed guarantee. You can only check in Brink Residence when Student Housing arranges/approves it.
Facilities
Unfortunately the facilities in the Brink are different than in a regular student room. You most likely have to share your room with one or two other students. Your living space is divided by curtains to create as much privacy as possible in a small room.
The rooms in the Brink Residence are spacious and have their own coffee and tea making facilities. The rooms are non-smoking. Every apartment is furnished and contains a small kitchen including pots and pans, a bathroom, a living room with color TV and safe, and one or more bedrooms (s). There are 2- 3 and 5 person apartments. The Brink Residence has wireless internet access which is included in the rent. You can also use the washing machine and dryers for free.
Cooking in apartments and meal service Brink residence:
The Brink Residence apartments have their own small kitchens including pans and pottery. Because you share the small kitchens with others, the cooking facilities are limited.
Location
The Brink residence is in the Centre of Wageningen, next to the bus station. The Brink Residence is located 250m away from Hof van Wageningen. By bike it is less than 10 minutes away from the campus of Wageningen University.

Price
Rent: Wageningen University will charge €8.- per person per night. This is approximately the same price as an Idealis room would be.
Bedding: University will charge you €35.- for bedding. This is the same price Idealis or iNFacilities would charge you, when you move to an Idealis or iNFacilities room. You don’t have to buy this again. The bedding is yours to keep. When check-in into the Brink you will need to make an advanced rent payment of €150,-
How long will it take before I get a room.
Unfortunately we cannot tell in advance how long it will take before there is a room available for you. It depends on how many students arrive, how many find a room themselves at the private market and when you applied for a room. That is why some students will stay longer in the Brink Residence than others. We also try to take every preference into account, although success is not guaranteed. As soon as there is a room available for you, Student Housing will inform you by email.
