The student deans have the task of providing students with help and advice - both personal and practical - regarding finances, housing, study delay caused by circumstances beyond one’s control, study progress, mediation, changing study programmes, and special arrangements e.g. in case of a handicap.
The student deans can also act as ombudsmen. Students with a complaint about their treatment by a member of staff of Wageningen University can go to an ombudsman. The same applies to complaints about the failure to perform a necessary act or about an undesired situation. Students who experienced unacceptable behaviour such as sexual harassment or bullying can contact the confidential adviser.
