Wageningen PhD Council (WPC)

The Wageningen PhD Council (WPC) represents the interests of PhD students of Wageningen University. WPC discusses a wide variety of PhD related issues on regular basis, e.g. CAO developments, improvement of the position of young researchers, concerns etc.

WPC exchanges 'best practices' and contributes to the cohesion between PhD councils of the different Graduate Schools.

WPC is chaired by the Dean of Wageningen Graduate Schools. This guarantees a direct contact with the directors of the Graduate Schools of Wageningen University.

WPC consists of representatives from the different PhD Councils of the Graduate Schools of Wageningen University:

Every Wageningen Graduate School has a PhD council. Its members represent all PhD candidates associated with the Graduate School. The councils act in the interest of all associated PhD candidates by active participation in the concerned Graduate School’s educational committee, the Graduate School’s Board and by acting on developments that might affect associated PhD candidates.
