How to pay Tuition Fee 2011/2012

Wageningen University recognizes 4 types of tuition fee in the academic year 2011/2012:

  • Statutory tuition fee € 1,713.-
  • Institutional fee (1) € 1,713.-
  • Institutional fee (2) € 8,925.-
  • Institutional fee (3) € 10,500.-

Your tuition fees can only be paid by direct debit under the following conditions:

  1. your 2011-2012 tuition fees/examination fees are € 1,713.- or € 8,925.- 
  2. payment by direct debit (in one payment or multiple payments) is only possible from a Dutch bank;
  3. you must submit the registration form with the direct debit authorisation before September 1, 2011 to the Student Service Centre (SSC) of WU;
  4. you must fill in the direct debit authorisation form completely and correctly and then sign it;
  5. you cannot reverse the payment that has been debited from your account;
  6. you cannot prematurely withdraw the authorisation;
  7. you cannot prematurely close or change the account to which the direct debit authorization applies. If the account is changed the remaining amount should be paid to WU.
  8. administration fees for direct debit in multiple payments will be charged by WU

Dutch or European bank account € 1,713.- or more D.  Payment by debit card (PIN) at the Student Service Desk in the FORUM You can ‘PIN’ the whole amount at the Student Service Desk in the FORUM.
European debit cards accepted.
Foreign bank account € 1,713.- or more E.  Transfer the whole amount from a foreign bank account to the bank account of Wageningen University

Those students who satisfy the conditions for paying by direct debit are strongly advised to do so. When you pay by direct debit, the Student Service Centre can, upon receipt of a valid, completed and signed payment agreement form, register you as a student at Wageningen University. Subsequently, your registration form is processed sooner, your WUR account is activated, and you are able to make use of the WU educational facilities. Payment by direct debit is only possible till September 1, 2011.

Payment by direct debit is possible by the student and also by a third party, e.g. parents.

When paying by direct debit in one payment, the amount due will be deducted from your account at the end of September.
When paying by direct debit in multiple payments, the amount of € 1,713.- will be deducted from your account in 5 equal payments of € 342.60 and the amount of € 8,925.- in 5 equal payments of € 1,785.-. The installments will be debited from your account at the end of September, October, December 2011, and in February and April 2012. When paying in installments, an amount of € 24.- will be deducted together with the first installment at the end of September.

Please note that when you do not make use of direct debit, we can only register you as a student upon receipt of the required tuition fee.
