Study expenses and Payment

for EU students

The university expenses consist of:

• Tuition fee*
  This fee is in accordance with EU regulations and based on two full academic years (24 months). It is possible to receive a partial refund during the second year if you graduate before June of that year; the refund depends on the graduation date.
• Living expenses
  The minimum amount you will require for living expenses is approximately € 800.- a month. This includes housing (approx. € 300 - € 400.- p/m), food, books and study materials. Students who arrive in Wageningen mid-August will require an extra € 400.- for living expenses.
• Insurance 
  Another expense to consider is insurance for health and legal liability. Students with a European Health Insurance Card are only required to arrange legal liability insurance - this can be arranged by the university.

Study period 2010 - 2012
The estimated total costs of two years of academic study in Wageningen for students from the EU or EFTA are € 23,985.00. This does not include travel to and from the Netherlands.  

* To be eligible for the statutory tuition fee of € 1,713.00 students must meet these requirements (link)

** All the above amounts apply to students starting September 2010 and are subject to change. Payment in a currency other than euro's should be equivalent to the above amounts (differences in exchange rates are not acceptable).

Only the tuition fee should be paid to Wageningen University.

Study period 2011 - 2013
The estimated total costs of two years of academic study in Wageningen for students from the EU or EFTA are € 24,073.00. This does not include travel to and from the Netherlands.  

* To be eligible for the statutory tuition fee (in 2011 = 1,713.00) students must meet these requirements.

** All the above amounts apply to students starting September 2011 and are subject to change. Payment in a currency other than euro's should be equivalent to the above amounts (differences in exchange rates are not acceptable).


Payment
Only the tuition fee should be paid to Wageningen University.
Upon receipt of your confirmation form, an invoice for the cost of study will be sent to you. The required amount should be paid into our bank account before the deadline.
