"Changes at the end of the 'production-consumption' chain" is the main ISSUE of this congress. The day-to-day care in households implies consumption of goods and services, which are on the one hand drawn from a professional production chain. On the other hand goods and services are produced within the household to satisfy the daily needs. Effects of this care are to be found in the quality of daily life of the household members and the social and physical environment of these households. Over time needs and possibilities change, and will have their consequences for the production chain.
THE AIM OF THE CONGRESS is to exchange research perspectives, theories and research results on the following themes:
- Patterns of food consumption
- Provision & use of care in every-day situations
- Energy & water supply and consumption.
The challenge of this congress is to reveal the importance of changes in every-day life for the production-consumption chain.
We invite researchers who focus their research on consumers, households and every-day life, working in universities or industries. But also are welcome those who are involved in developing policies on the themes as mentioned for governmental or non-governmental organisations.
