Endnote is a bibliographic management program that allows you to organise your own literature references. It also facilitates the layout of literature references in articles, books or theses. Endnote is closely integrated with your wordprocessor, and makes the inclusion of references really easy. The goal of this course is to make a start with using this programme. Millions of researchers, scholarly writers, students, and librarians use EndNote (patent pending) to search online bibliographic databases, organize their references and images, and create bibliographies and figure lists instantly. Instead of spending hours typing bibliographies, or using index cards to organize their references, they do it the easy way by using EndNote!
The course consist of the following parts:
Making a database and filling the database from a wide range of sources. Checking the database for inconsistencies, duplicates and searching the database.
Including selected references in your own text in MS Word, and producing reference list according to certain journal specifications.
After an introduction the participants are guided through the program with a range of exercises. A brief handout is available.
