One of the effects of globalization, increasing quality demands and WTO regulations is that many small farmers are loosing access to big markets. This could have advantages in terms of efficiency and quality control but it also implies missed opportunities and further marginalization for farmers, local businessmen and consumers.

Speakers from Rabobank, HIVOS, NDDB and Provimi will address these issues in a public seminar. A panel discussion will close the event.

The Seminar is part of the IAC course on Dairy Chain Development (8 March – 9 April).

Fee: Professionals €20, and Students €5, including drinks and handouts. Fees are to be paid upon arrival.
