On Thursday the 3rd of February Wageningen UR and the International Water Management Institute will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of research and capacity building in land and water management. This MoU sets out three priority areas for collagoration:
1. Involvement of WUR in the development and review of the Comprehensive Assessment of Water Management in Agriculture.
2. The establishment of a joint WUR-IWMI research fund to support MSc and PhD students.
3. The identification of joint research projects and programs, to be jointly developed and submitted for external funding.
On Wednesday the 2nd of February a meeting will be held to discuss WUR's contribution to the CA, as announced earlier. Concerning the second priority area for collaboration, a joint working group will be formed to follow up on this. For the third point, a seminar will be held on Thursday afternoon to initiate the identification of joint research projects.
