Report from a Society in Science project

 

Lecture by Dr. Matias Pasquali,

Branco Weiss Fellow, University of Minnesota & Applied Philosophy, Wageningen University

 

Some preliminary data and ideas on the ongoing analysis of agricultural scientific communication, its hidden values, and agricultural scientists attitude towards ethics will be presented.

A method for generating an “holistic” approach for agricultural science communication will be proposed and discussion on its compatibility with science practice will be welcome.

 

The work is part of the Branco Weiss Fellowship – Society in Science initiative, challenging life scientists to address societal issues.

Applied Philosophy and Wageningen Ethics Centre organizes Lectures and BuffetPensants in collaboration with the Foundation Utopa, which aims at stimulating the development of individuals, in particular where there talents don’t get enough opportunities This Foundation also organizes the gallery of sculptures Het Depot in Wageningen.
