Ethics on your plate: dining and discussing on ethical issues concerning food, agriculture, nature, environment, landscape and animals

Second Session: Prof. Tim Lang, Food Policy

Wageningen Ethics Centre organizes again for all students and teachers an evening with a mix of good food and talking on ethics. Many complain about the lack of academic reflection, but this is an opportunity to find ethical dilemmas on your plate and to put you teeth in something tough and tasty!

For every session the approximately 25 participants are offered a good meal and a provocative talk of 30 minutes, after which discussion will start. Everything can be said and the chair coordinates the debating voices. Our aim is contributing to ethical competences in dealing with burning societal issues with respect to the life sciences
We don’t charge a fee but ask the potential participants to formulate their motivation in a short email message of app. 20 lines why they want to participate the first three sessions. Applicants will get a quick reply.

Programme:

18:00 Buffet

18:30 Start introductory talk, by Prof. Tim Lang
