Cell Biology and Immunology Group
This annual workshop is characterised by one-hour presentations by experienced lecturers, thoroughly introducing each subject. It includes two afternoons of practical training. The objective is to provide advanced knowledge, both theoretical and practical, on the fish immune system and immune response to vaccination. Emphasis will be placed on vaccination of (young) fish against viruses, on anti-bacterial defenses and on the cytokines and immune receptors that make up innate and acquired immunity. Related issues such as (experimental) animal welfare and the influence of stress on the immune response will be discussed. The level of the workshop is targeting company and academic researchers (PhD) as well as management staff in the aquaculture industry.
Registration fee is 300 (PhD), 400 (academic staff) or 500 euro (company staff). For all-in registration (including accommodation and all meals) add 400 euro
