Organisation: Storm-van der Chijs Fund

On Saturday 4 November three Storm-van der Chijs Awards will be handed over. This will be the fifth time since the Storm-van der Chijs Fund was established in 1998. The Fund aims at supporting the work and career of women scientists at the WUR. The Awards are granted every two years to promising female WU-Ph.D. candidates who distinguish themselves in international and interdisciplinary approach in their research. The candidates are nominated by their supervisors and the jury consists of members of the WU Doctorate Board. The awards allow the winners to reimburse a visit to a foreign institute or conference. One of the awards is offered by the WUR Board and the others are granted by donations to the Fund.

This year the awards will be handed over by dr Margreet van der Burg, interim chair Storm-van der Chijs Fund and Prof. dr. Just Vlak, member WU Doctorate Board. The ceremony will be led by Dr Chris Klok, chair of VWI and board member of Storm-van der Chijs Fund. The language will be English.
