N-3 fatty acids and mental health

This symposium will give an overview of the latest developments in the field of omega-3 fatty acids and mental health. The focus will be on depression as well as cognitive functioning. These fields will be assessed from different points of view with results of epidemiological studies, trials and reviews. Furthermore the implementation of the current knowledge on these areas will be discussed. The course aims at professionals from various fields (e.g. nutritionists, gerontologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, health policy makers, nutrition educators, health promoters) interested in the subject.
