Course Design
This advanced course consists of two periods, each of two days. Well-recognized experts in the field of nutrition, medicine, biology, physiology and athletics will present lectures covering the following issues:
- Physical exercise, body composition, energy expenditure and metabolic fuels in various sports
- Nutritional requirements in various sports
- Fatigue, the immune system and body temperature regulation
- Practical implications and recommendations
It is the aim of the course to communicate the latest scientific developments in these fields and to discuss the practical implications.
The programme includes an excursion to TNO Human Factors in Soesterberg and specific training by dealing with case studies in working groups.
