Supply chain development in root and tuber crops to enhance food security in Sub-Sharan Africa
A refresher course for NFP alumni from Sub-Saharan Africa of Wageningen International (and IAC) courses on:
- (Seed) Potato technology and chain development
- Vegetable production and Horticulture
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Agro-biodiversity, biotechnology, plant breeding and seed sector development
- Rural Extension (ICRE)
- Food Industry and Agribusiness (FIAB)
and for NFP Alumni from Sub-Saharan Africa of Wageningen University:
- MSc Organic Agriculture
- MSc Plant Sciences
- Management of Ago-Ecological Knowledge and Social Change (MAKS)
The refresher course on Supply Chain Development intends to present and share experiences on new developments, concepts and innovative approaches to promote sustainable development of supply chains in root crops. In particular, it focuses on the innovations that can support smallholder producers to tailor the quality of their products to the demands of national and international supply chain customers in order to improve market access and competitiveness.
