Clean water is one of life’s essentials, and it is becoming scarcer and scarcer. LEI is carrying out research in a number of different places into measures that are aimed at preserving good stocks of healthy, clean water.
Research is underway in Yemen, for example, where traditional forms of water management have fallen into disuse. Closer to home, the economic value of water purification through a reed filter system is being investigated. The economics of water itself is also a research topic in its own right. You can read more about these LEI projects and other Wageningen-based water research in the Delta research brochure.
