On June 19, 2009 the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR), the Universities of Addis Ababa, Jimma, Haramaya, Hawassa and Mekelle and Wageningen UR (University and Research centre) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for structural collaboration in research and capacity development. This collaboration programme has a thematic focus on horticulture, oilseeds, seed supply systems, natural resource management, soil fertility management and policy advice.
