In a comparison of 58 Biology university programmes in Germany and the Netherlands, the programme at Wageningen University scored very high, coming, on average, in third place. They achieved the top position for programmes in the Netherlands. This was recently announced by the German ranking institute CHE (Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung), based in Gütersloh (Germany).
In order to rank the programmes, CHE considered nine factors, including the study programme, study guidance, library, teaching rooms and IT facilities.
In a world-wide analysis, professionals in the field of ranking praised CHE’s method as being by far the best in terms of quality. The CHE primarily focuses on German universities, but now includes increasingly more foreign universities in their system of ranking.
